Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj registers

Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj is one of my favorite shows. I have watched all 40 episodes of the show. It depicts everything that is wrong with the United States of America today.

On his latest episode called “Why Doing Taxes Is So Hard” Hasan exposed “how TurboTax pushes taxpayers away from its free service to a paid option, and why efforts to simplify filing have repeatedly failed.”

Hasan Minhaj then registered the domain name and created a small website on it. He has put there the direct link that TurboTax is hiding on its official website at

This is not the first time that Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj registers and uses a domain name to get their message across the world. Other shows like Last Week Tonight with John Oliver are doing it all the time as well. In 2018 Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver bought 3 Rudy Giuliani domains. John Oliver is actually doing it almost week after week. Last week tonight is another show I never miss an episode.

TurboTax has deliberately hid its free file page from search engines. They used Robots.txt and “noindex, nofollow” to hide the free website from Google and people that were searching for it. The article says that they have since changed that but Hasan said that other links are made hard to find as well. has all the “free” links listed clearly. It has links to free filing to TurboTax and its competitors.

The website also has a page called “Tax Avoidance Hall of Fame!”. There Patriot Act and Hasan Minhaj have listed some of the biggest companies in the world like Amazon, Delta, Starbucks, Fedex and…. Netflix! Yes, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj is on Netflix!

One remarkable thing about is that the show registered the domain back in February and the show aired just 2 days ago. (July 2020) Did COVID19 had something to do with it or do they plan so far ahead?

Now you can watch the tax episode here or you can watch this:

  1. He makes some good points, but he’s not funny.

  2. “It depicts everything that is wrong with the United States of America today.”

Even how bad it is , still there are billions of people still wanting to come to America!!

He makes a lot of good points and I really enjoy his shows.
Funny or now is all about your perception
Every comedian has their style and it caters to certain group of people.
