.ART moves over 1 million premium domains to standard

On February 21st, .ART transitioned over 1 million domain names from the premium tiers to the standard tier.

This strategic move is designed to further democratize access to .ART domains, making it easier for artists, galleries, museums, and creatives worldwide to find and secure the perfect domain for their digital presence. Most of these names were previously in the $70 wholesale premium tier. Now they will be available at the lower standard create and renew fees.

This move is designed to foster wider accessibility of in-demand .ART names by significantly expanding the inventory of standard domains. This will have a positive impact for all registrars, and especially for those registrars that don’t yet support .ART premium names.

In addition to the names moving from premium tiers to the standard tier, .ART is also moving a number of names from some higher premium tiers to lower priced premium tiers.
