Google AdWords became Google Ads last week. This new Google Ads brand represents the full range of campaign types available today, including Search, Display and Video.
You will begin to see the new Google Ads brand—including the new name and logo—reflected in the product interface, Help Center, billing documents, and more. The URL you use to access your account is changing from adwords.google.com to ads.google.com, and the Help Center is changimg from support.google.com/adwords to support.google.com/google-ads.
Changes to the Google Ads branding will not impact your campaign performance, navigation, or reporting.
The new Google Ads brand represents the full range of advertising capabilities Google offers today—on Google.com and across its other properties, partner sites and apps—to help marketers connect with the billions of people finding answers on Search, watching videos on YouTube, exploring new places on Google Maps, discovering apps on Google Play, browsing content across the web, and more.
For small businesses specifically, Google is introducing a new campaign type in Google Ads that makes it easier to get started with online advertising. It brings the machine learning technology of Google Ads to small businesses and helps them get results without any heavy lifting—so they can stay focused on running their businesses.
There is no action required on your part, and changes to the Google Ads branding will not impact your campaign performance, navigation or reporting.
Also starting from late July, the new AdWords (or just Ads now) experience is replacing the previous one. You’ll no longer be able to switch between the two in your account or any new accounts you create. This won’t change how your campaigns run – your data and reports will still be available in the new experience.
The new tools and features include:
Get better performance with personalized recommendations and smarter insights.
Create and improve campaigns based on your unique business goals.
See how your ads are performing at a glance with the new Overview page.
Gain actionable insights with new graphs and powerful reporting tools.
