2022 global domain report: 72% of domain sales came through BIN

Sedo and InternetX published the 2022 global domain report.

The most interesting information came from the aftermarket section of the report:

  • Sedo had a 15% increase in the number of sales
  • Sedo had 49% increase in sales revenue
  • 72% of the sales came through BIN (BUY IT NOW) (it was 30% back in 2011)
  • 2,572 was the average domain name sales price
  • angel.com sold for $2 million and was the higher public sale
  • domains from 362 different extensions were sold
  • Sedo.com gets 56% of domain sales while SedoMLS gets 44%
