Back to the future – 1988.com sells for $20,499 at NameJet

The domain name 1988.com sold for $20,499 at NameJet yesterday. It was one of the busiest auctions I have seen lately with 347 bids and 299 participating bidders. There were 6 bidders with a bid of 10k or higher.

The domain was registered in 1997 and it expired a few days ago. The domain name is currently registered with Network Solutions so it was auctioned of by NameJet.com.

The domain name was never developed. It was “under construction” for many years.

1998.com sold for $9,305 at sedo.com. (2012-06-22)

  2. Wasn’t back to the future set in 1885,1955,1985 and 2015 ?

    88 was just the mph he had to get to to activate the delorean.
