R.I.P. Dietmar Stefitz

I was very sad to hear on Friday the passing of Dietmar Stefitz.

Dietmar Stefitz was among many other things the founder of Domaining Europe. (Later sold to NamesCon/GoDaddy and became NamesCon Europe.)

I went to my first Domaining Europe in 2015 and met Dietmar. He was so kind and engaging with everyone.

He will truly be missed.

Here are a few photographs I found from the past 5 years with Dietmar:

  1. I did not have the pleasure of meeting him, my condolences to his family and to those who, like you, met him in person, this Mr. Dietmar Stefitz (Rip)

  2. Hi Konstantinos, looks like Dietmar would have been a good guy to know. Nice pictures with his domainer friends. Nice that so many people remember him publicly.
As a fellow German and a fellow domainer, I am also sad for the loss of Dietmar!
    RIP Dietmar.

  3. Like you Konstantinos, I was at that same event. He was a class act and his conference was amazing. I’ll never forget the tour of Valencia he took out of town guests on the day after the conference. He will be greatly missed!

  4. What a great guy he was. I think i’ve run so many stories with him at every NamesCon or ICANN meeting i attended and smoke so many cigs together! He will be greatly missed.
    RIP Dietmar
