About Konstantinos Zournas

I studied Computer Engineering and Computer Science in London, UK and I am now living in Athens, Greece. I went online in 1995, started coding in 1996 and began buying domain names and creating websites in 2000. I started the blog in 2012.

  1. Good to finally see a registry promoting a extension to end-users instead of only pushing their gTLD on industry blogs etc.The real success for any of the new gTLDs will be in getting as many developed sites out there and have businesses and individuals use and promote their sites on the extension. I also like the ad. It’s cool.

  2. Is this actually going on TV or just online?

  3. I think london is going to be difficult for us domainers.
    good names are ..
    – bought by sunrise
    – bought by landrush
    – reserved
    – reserved
    – reserved
    – expensiv
and a lot of domain hunters everywhere
and a lot of costomers on every single registrar
but on the other side, if u got a nice domain, for sure u will sell it faster 🙂

i was six times in london and i love the atmo there
i hope for one or two nice london domains

  4. I am interested in seeing how .uk might have spoiled the show by being first mover. I’d also be interested in seeing the numbers end of day July 31

  5. recent figures from show .london is dominating the gTLD market.
.london will stay ahead of its counterparts especially if the marketing wheel is now in motion. I haven’t seen this advert specifically but I have seen others on online TV ad breaks.

    • Oliver, could you elaborate on where they get the .london registration numbers? We know that general availability is sometime September and the ntld stats show a handful. Any registries doing registrations for .london right now to the public?
