Top 10 Trending Keywords in .COM & .NET Registrations in February (Trump, Options)

The top 10 trending keywords registered in .COM and .NET during the month of February 2016 were published by Verisign.

“Trump” is the only common keyword in the 2 lists. I am not so sure if Donald Trump will be so happy with all these domain names with his name being registered.

These are not the top 10 keywords but rather the keywords that saw the highest increase in terms of domain name registrations. This is what Verisign says about the list:

“Note: Each list was developed by examining keyword registration growth by identified language relative to the preceding month, such that those keywords with the highest percentage of registration growth are being reported on. This method is used to eliminate commonly registered keywords such as “online” and “shop” to provide a true look at monthly trends by language.”
