Rick Schwartz Is Officially Retired: “20 year plan obtained”

gtldsRick Schwartz, aka the Domain King, is now officially retired as reflected on his LinkedIn page. The description under his name on LinkedIn just states “20 year plan obtained”. His job is now “Chief of Staff at Retirement”!!!

He has talked a lot of times about this domain name 20 year plan on his blog.

I few weeks back I wrote an article called “4 Months Without Rick” asking him to start blogging again. He latest blog post was on June 17 and I guess he will not blogging again any time soon.

The 10th anniversary and farewell T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference was held last month in Miami Beach.

I hope he makes the goals set at his latest job:

“Wherever I feel like being whenever I feel like being. Retired without worry.”

If you don’t know who Rick is, which I doubt, here is a small summary from his linked in profile:

  1. Bad day for people like me who followed him like a disciple.

  2. Did he OBTAIN the plan – as in, to gain possession of it? Or did he rather ATTAIN the goal of a plan?

    🙂

    All the best to Rick!

  3. The guy must be laughing in his pre-retirement grave at all of the dumb pucks that wasted good money on gtld’s that all seem to be guaranteed to lose value. Anyone who has read any of his posts would have known that these were a bad sucker call, targeting the uneducated and uninformed. There is a reason he was called the Domain King!

  4. Konsta have you come across any ngTLDs registered Rick Schwartz

  5. Actually good Rick does own alot of new gtlds although he claimed earlier he wouldn’t go for them 🙂 At the time of the article he owns even more than Michael himself which could have changed by now:

Fact is that Rick adapts with the changing times despite previous opinions.

I posted this post with the link to the article by Michael B. but for some reason it didn’t appear. So i hope at least this one shows up or perhaps K can modify it in case a link is allowed 🙂
