Afternic is introducing a new domain delivery process known as transaction assurance (TA).
This new transaction assurance system combes practices and processes from Afternic, Dan.com and Uniregistry.
Starting today, sellers may notice transactions closing faster, with increased automation and improved processes. Plus, even more transactions will now be fully automated from start to finish, all within a new user interface.
Domain Transfers: You may see a reduction in time transferring domain names to Afternic, thanks to our automated process. When required, enter your up-to-date auth code in your Transaction Assurance UI, and our system will take it from there.
Message Agents: With your new transaction dashboard, messaging our TA agents is much simpler. A dedicated message box appears at the top of each transaction, where you can reach our TA team directly. For improved conversation tracking, your messages, and our responses through this system are shown in your transaction timeline.
TLD Detection: Different domain extensions (TLDs) require different closing processes. This is why automated TLD detection is built into this TA system, meaning faster updates and more automation with different TLDs.
60-Day Lock Detection: If the domain name you sell is under a 60-day new registration lock at your current registrar, our system adapts accordingly. We reach out to the buyer to set up a domain name push, if they’re happy to receive the domain name at its current registrar.
Introduced from today, March 31, 2025, your transaction assurance emails will reflect a new design and content tailored to the new transaction system.
