GoDaddy launches Afternic Boost, a new tool to increase domain sales for a 5% commission fee.

Recent experimentation to increase exposure for Afternic domains on GoDaddy resulted in up to 10% higher conversion rates.

What is Afternic Boost?

• Afternic Boost is a new service that enhances domain visibility on GoDaddy helping to drive more sales. With this new feature, you can expect:
• Higher visibility in GoDaddy’s suggested search results
• Verified badges on exact-match searches for Fast Transfer domains and domain landers

Starting September 4, 2024, all Afternic listings will gain automatic access to Afternic Boost. A 5% commission increase will accompany the roll out.

Boost helps to increase your domain’s visibility by featuring your listings higher in GoDaddy’s suggested search results, adding Boost Verified badges on exact-match searches, and inclusion in targeted email campaigns that connect domain names with potential buyers.

Does Boost increase my portfolio’s performance?

What is the additional cost for being a Boost seller?

Boost charges an additional 5% commission on sales in exchange for the added exposure and marketing benefits.

Does the additional commission apply to all sales?

Yes, because Boost is activated at the account level, the 5% additional commission applies to all domain sales through your Afternic account.

How can I optimize my portfolio for Boost?

There are three things that every seller can do to maximize the effectiveness of Boost:

1. Buy It Now pricing: To show up in GoDaddy’s suggested search results, domain names need to have a Buy It Now price set at Afternic.

2. Fast Transfer: If your domain names are eligible for Fast Transfer, we recommend activating this option. This not only provides extended exposure through our Premium network, but it also gives you access to Boost’s “Verified” badge for exact-match searches and landers.

3. Use our landers: Both the Custom Lander and Buy It Now lander will display Boost badges for eligible domains.

Can I enable Boost on one or two domains?

Boost is enabled at an account level to ensure consistent marketing and visibility across your entire portfolio. While you can’t select individual domains for Boost, this comprehensive strategy is designed to maximize the potential benefits for your entire portfolio. You can opt-out your account at any time by heading to afternic.com/account/boost.

What is a Boost email campaign?

Boost includes targeted email campaigns from GoDaddy, promoting domain names to audiences with an interest in similar names.

What are Boost Badges and how do they work?

Boost Badges are visual markers that appear next to your domain name, signifying that the listing has been verified and approved by GoDaddy.

Are there any domain names or extensions that aren’t eligible for Boost?

Boost’s sponsored suggested search result listings are available for all domain names across the 500+ extensions that GoDaddy supports.

Verified badges will be added to exact-match Boost listings for Fast Transfer domain names.

Which extensions are eligible for Fast Transfer?

Fast Transfer is available for .com, .net, .org, .info, .co, .io, .xyz, .de, .pw, and .biz. You can find out more about the Fast Transfer criteria here.

Are my Slow Transfer domains eligible for Boost?

Previously, only Fast Transfer domain names appeared in GoDaddy’s suggested search results. With Boost, Boosted Slow Transfer (non-Fast Transfer) domain names will be included in suggested search results.

No, there are no registrar limitations for Afternic Boost.

Can I opt-out of Boost at any time?

Yes, you can opt-out of Boost at any time by visiting afternic.com/account/boost . Since opting out can take up to 48 hours to sync across our systems, you will not be able to re-enable Boost for at least 48 hours.
