Escrow.com Q2 2024 report: $90 million of domain sales

Escrow.com released its Q2 2024 Domain Name Investment Index.

In 2Q24, Escrow.com facilitated domain name sales totalling $90 million, a 7% increase from the total of $84 million in domain name sales transacted in the previous quarter.

Key trends from the quarter include:

  • The value of .ai domains has eased slightly, coming down to a total of $1.8 million in 2Q24 from record heights of $2.6 million in 1Q24
  • The value of domains containing a hyphen (‘-’) increased to $2.5 million
  • The median price of four character .com domains also increased, doubling from $7,500 in 1Q24 to $15,000 in this quarter
