EURid published its Q2 2022 Progress Report today with 172,037 new domain name registrations recorded, bringing the total number of .eu registrations to 3,722,177. Portugal topped the list of countries for registration growth at +5.1%, while the overall renewal rate remained high at 83.3%.
172 037 new registrations were recorded in Q2 2022, contributing to 3 722 177 .eu domain name registrations at the end of the quarter. The growth in registrations was led by Portugal with 5.1%, Norway with 3.4% and Austria with 2%.
In Q2, EURid launched the ninth edition of the .eu Web Awards, signed the new service concession contract with the European Commission, took part in the CENTR Jamboree in Prague and signed a memorandum of understanding with ICANN to promote multilingualism and inclusion on the Internet.
Also in this quarter, .eu TLD celebrated its 16th anniversary and EURid published the .eu Illustrated magazine, which spotlights online safety. EURid also took part in the Web Marketing festival in Rimini, Italy, which attracted over 36,000 attendees.
