The tech .NYC premium domain auction was held at Snapnames and 18 of the 26 domains sold. Web.nyc and Startup.nyc were the top sellers.
The 18 domains sold for a total of $28,872. The average price of the sold domains was $1,604 while the median price was just $525. 6 of the 26 domains were sold at the minimum $500 price and another 4 just above $500.
My sources tell me that one single bidder won about 12 of the 18 domains and the low results were to be expected as technology is not meant to be local as the extension .nyc is.
This was the 3rd .nyc domain name auction for Auctions.nyc and the City of New York.

Apartments.nyc also got a 5-figure bid with $16,155. 19 out of 20 domains were sold for a total of $70,650.
The second .NYC premium domain auction (that was fashion related) was help at Snapnames in February 2017 with 24 domains. Fashion.nyc at $37,000 and Shop.nyc at $33,500 were the top sellers. 23 out of 24 domains sold for a total of $90,938.
