TLD Registry Wins Best Marketing Award at China New gTLD Roadshow

dot-chinese-onlineTLD Registry, the registry of Dot Chinese Online (.在线) and Dot Chinese Website (.中文网), was awarded with the Best Marketing by a New gTLD trophy for 2014 at Brandma’s China New gTLD Roadshow.

In the presentation, on Thursday November 13, in China’s domain name capital of Xiamen, Brandma CEO and ICANN board member Ching Chiao praised the advances that TLD Registry has brought to the entire industry of fully-Chinese domain names. “No other registry has helped the awareness of the importance and value of Chinese domains as TLD Registry”, said Chiao.

The award was accepted by TLD Registry’s Chief Marketing Officer Simon Cousins and China General Manager Jin Wang. Wang praised the work of other registries present on the promotional roadshow, including CNNIC (which administers .cn, .中国 (“.China”) .公司 (“.company”) and .网络 (“.network”), Donuts (the largest single new gTLD registry), Rightside, Uniregistry, Huyi (owner of .商标 (.trademark”), and .世界 (“.world”).

“This award is the result of the incredibly hard work and creative strategic decisions of the entire TLD Registry team”, said Cousins. “I’m enormously proud to be a part of the most dedicated Chinese domain name marketing team in the world”.

Brandma’s China New gTLD Roadshow was staged in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Xiamen during the first and second week of November 2014, and was the second annual event to be staged by the well-known Chinese Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) agency.

  1. Simon Cousins and the guys deserve it. On the other hand, I haven’t got my translations from ChineseLandrush for almost 4 days now… 🙂

I’m surprised how bad .china is doing in comparison to, lets say, .company.
