DropCatch.com Had Backorder Issues Over The Weekend

DropCatch.com, one of the newest domain name backordering service, had some backorder issues over the weekend. It seems to be fixed now. Here is their announcement:

Hey folks,

It looks like we had some problems with backorders over the weekend; the people working on the triage effort put a post up here that mis-outlined the situation, so allow us to clarify now that the dust has settled and everything has calmed down.

Our bulk backordering partners were able to get their backorders to us, but we weren’t able to take any backorders from our website users for that day in particular – when the triage team caught it, Sunday was going to have the same issue, but a bit of off-hours work got that fixed up in time.

At the moment, we’re reviewing the processes that failed and setting up fall-backs and alerts to head off this kind of thing in the future, and are quite confident that this shouldn’t be an issue again. If you have any concerns or complaints, please feel free to send them to Support@DropCatch.com.
