The .travel Registry announces name registration bonus program

Once a domain name is registered, the challenge facing all registrants is promoting their new website. Working with eTurboNews, the .travel Registry has designed a registration bonus program to help with that challenge.

The .travel Registry is pleased to announce a special bonus for all registrants. Starting April 3, 2014 and running until June 30, 2014 all new name registrations or renewals of existing registrations completed through registrars at their normal fees during that period may qualify for the publication of a business profile and website link at no extra charge.

In partnership with eTurboNews, the .travel Registry will sponsor the publication of one eTurboNews blogspot business profile for each new .travel domain name registered or renewed. The blog content will be searchable and included for one appearance in the twice weekly eTN email newsletter Travelindustrydeals which goes out to 230,000+ travel industry professionals. Each eTurboNews blogspot profile, with included photo/logo and eTN newsletter posting, has a combined value of US$200.

In order to qualify for the promotional business profile, the qualifying registrant must register a new .travel domain name between April 3, 2014 and June 30, 2014, or renew an existing .travel domain name in that same period. In addition, each such qualifying registration must be used as a website address leading to travel-related content. For all qualifying registrations or renewals, the related website must be published not later than September 30, 2014.

All business profiles must be approved by the .travel Registry for qualification and content. Approval is entirely at the discretion of the .travel Registry. Timing of publication of all business profiles is at the discretion of the .travel Registry and will be determined by total number of submissions, publication deadlines, and sequence of delivery. The .travel Registry will use its best efforts to publish the business profiles as soon after submission as possible. No more than 100 submissions will be published in each month.

Further details of this program may be found at and through any .travel authorized registrar listed at Please address any inquiries to .

  1. It’s nice to see the .travel registry doing some promotion. This is a reminder to all of the new registries that the existing registries will not be standing still during the roll-out of new gtlds.
