Colin Campbell for Daniel Negari: “[…] I realized that I did not want anything to do with him […]”

Colin Campbell, CEO of .Club, made a comment this week over at Rick Schwartz’s Blog. The comment was made in the post “The Walls of Jericho Fall on .xyz“.

Apparently one of Colin Campbell’s comments in domain blogs regarding the free .xyz regstrations that were pushed to unsuspecting customers at Network Solutions made Daniel Negari very angry.

Colin made a few comments in my post .XYZ is DEAD – DISASTER! Daniel Negari Exposed! .XYZ down to 34th place! Where is Deals.xyz?. I think this could be one of the comments that Daniel Negari didn’t like:

Constantin,

I always appreciate honest reporting, even when it comes to .CLUB. Kevin, Andrew, Ron, Rick, Michael B., and Michael G. (aussie) have all pointed things out about .CLUB that at times I wished they hadn’t. We are all human and we make all make mistakes. We all need to be accountable. Unfortunately the acts of 1 registry are tainting the entire industry. I have seen others raise suspicions about .CLUB, and other TLDs today because of XYZ’s unethical practices. I shouldn’t have to but in defense of Frank’s .LINK he has always been upfront from the very beginning with .LINK and the registrations he did. Lets not let one bad apple here spoil the crop.

Colin, CEO, .CLUB

And here is Colin’s comment over at Rick’s Blog after an email exchange with Daniel Negari:

“To the industry,

I just received an email from Mr. Negari. I thought there was no better place to share it other than RicksBlog.com. I made the effort to talk with him about 8 days ago expressing my concerns. After that call I realized that I did not want anything to do with him, nor would I ever offer advice in the future.

Here is what he stated in an email I received today at 3:27:

Daniel Negari
To: Colin Campbell

Ethics

Wow – Your ethics – or lack thereof beyond baffle me. The truth will be told and come out – completely. I hope you lose sleep at night knowing I know everything you have been behind.

——–

If Mr. Negari, believes that I am behind all of the uproar behind the opt out registrations and that I managed to convince an entire industry through a few of my own personal comments I think he is misguided. If anyone who was influenced by my comments or my concerns with this marketing campaign, please come forward. I’d really like to understand how I could have caused all of .XYZ’s issues?

Colin Campbell
CEO, .CLUB”

I guess Daniel Negari doesn’t like people that are honest. It is human nature to always fear the unknown.

  1. Really.. I think he does not like it when someone steps way way over the line.

I think Mr Colins has F himself and his apology will not be enough. If anyone should step down
    it 100% should be him.

  2. Really.. you think he decided to ‘retract’ what he said because he had a change of heart? or he got schooled/ another lawyer told him he just fucked himself 🙂

its kinda fun when people with no credibility.. ie these blogs make statements but it is actually an issue when a lawyer does. You will notice that John Berryhill was a lot more careful with his comments as he is a lawyer with credibility.

now.. Mr Colin Cambell is a lawyer.. but it looks like he might not be the greatest lawyer
If I was using him to defend any of my domain I would 100% have fired him

It is 100% a joke that he puts on a new hat to make different comments

He made statements were way off base and it looks terrible.

  4. “John Berryhill was a lot more careful with his comments as he is a lawyer with credibility. ”

If he was a credible lawyer he would have already acted to file a class action against search engines claiming to run generic TLDs. An intellectual property lawyer avoiding to do that is like a doctor betraying the Hippocratic Oath.

Please, turn on your brain before stating absurdities like that. For the a.m.reason there is NO credible INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAWYER in this “INDUSTRY”.
