4 New gTLD domains sold for $12,500+, 2 for $3,000+ and 24 domains for $1,200+ (uggs.shoes, carousel.photos)

This past week the following 4 New gTLDs entered general availability with EAP: .photos, .shoes, .careers and .recipes.

This week 4 New gTLD domain names sold for about $12,500+ in the Early Access Program (EAP):
spendless.shoes
goertz.shoes
uggs.shoes
carousel.photos

The 3 purchases were end-user sales. Not sure who bought carousel.photos.

Deckers Outdoor Corporation the company that makes the Ugg shoes bought the domain uggs.shoes in EAP. They also got ugg.shoes in sunrise. The domain uggsshoes.com seems to be parked at the DomainNameSales.com.

Spendless Shoes Pty Ltd, an Australian show company, bought the domain name spendless.shoes. They also own spendlessshoes.com.

Goertz, a shoe online shop from Germany, bought the domain name goertz.shoes. They also own goertzshoes.com.

None of the 3 companies above are registered with the Trademark Clearinghouse for the marks incorporated in the domains above so I assume that these are not sunrise registrations. Deckers is registered for the mark “ugg”.

There were 2 domain names sold on the 2nd day of the EAP for about $3,200 each:

metal.photos

The domain metal.photos was bought by California photo company Bay Photo Lab.

There were also 24 domain names bought at about $1200 each.

A domainer bought 9 .recipes domain names such as chef.recipes and cannabis.recipes.

Another 2 domainers bought 2 and 1 .recipes domains each.

A domainer bought 2 .careers domains: business.careers and legal.careers.

SmugMug, Inc., a company that prints anything on mugs, bought print.photos.

Restaurant Agent Inc., a restaurant guide, bought the domain name restaurant.recipes.

Aspire Global Network, a recruitment company, bought the domain name aspire.careers.

I also checked all the corresponding domain names in .com and found 2 that were sitting unregistered today:
carouselphotos.com
ediblesrecipes.com

  1. You forgot to add days 8 through infinite- FREE

  2. Both CarouselPhotos.com and EdiblesRecipes.com have been registered…hopefully the buyers of those also registered EdiblesNet.com, CarouselOrg.com, EdiblesInfo.com, CarouselBiz.com etc… sarcasm of course.

  3. There wasn’t much action in the backorders this morning, I got 100% of everything I requested, you should most likely see lower numbers than past weeks.

  4. bar.recipes & pub.recipes are available if folks want them. Highest I spent was $698 for family.recipes
