ICM Registry, the registry operator of .xxx, is launching a new search engine at Search.xxx dedicated to developed .XXX websites and .XXX content on 27th of September.
ICM Registry said that they are focusing much of their efforts on delivering a quality user experience with highly relevant search results. ICM Registry is committing further investment on an advertising campaign to promote the search engine bringing real value to .XXX domains through additional traffic generation at no additional cost to domain owners.
ICM Registry then urges website owners to get their site crawled. Webmasters who wish to understand more about crawling, indexing and optimizing .XXX websites, click here.
Here are a few important guidelines:
- The search engine will ONLY crawl developed .XXX websites that contain adult entertainment content. It is important to ensure that you have your membership process completed and can successfully navigate to your website via your browser. If you can find the .XXX website via your browser then the search engine will be able to find it too.
- The crawler is limited to .XXX sites only. If your content links to other sites in other TLDs then the crawler stops following these links once it comes across a link that does not end in .XXX.
- If your site is being hosted at a parked service provider then it may not be crawled.
- If you prefer not to be listed on search.xxx, you can send an email to ICM Registry and opt out.
