Atom announced today that they just received their ICANN accreditation.
Atom said that the registrar space hasn’t evolved much in years and that most registrars weren’t built for domain investors and they weren’t built for creative brand discovery.
It will take Atom a few months to launch a public-facing registrar but this accreditation gives Atom the opportunity to build the registrar they always imagined:
“It would be intelligent. Personal. Creative. It would help buyers discover, not just search. It would support domain investors with tools that drive real sales, not just renewals.
We’re building an AI-first registrar, deeply connected to the foundation we’ve already laid:
a domain marketplace that powers discovery, a branding platform that brings ideas to life, and years of learning from thousands of buyers and sellers.”
Here’s what’s coming according to Atom:
For Domain Investors
You’ll have tools to improve discovery and boost sell-through rates.
You’ll be able to manage smarter, promote better, and move faster, with AI agents helping you spot and dropcatch valuable expiring domains with more precision.
And when a domain expires and gets auctioned, we’ll share a portion of the revenue because value should be shared, not lost.
For Buyers
You’ll get more than just a domain.
You’ll get the full set of tools to bring your brand to life-
Logos, audience testing, trademark support, brand monitoring.
A complete branding ecosystem,
delivered in a way that’s cost-effective, intuitive, and actually enjoyable to use.
