Sedo has messed up the new “My Account” section

Sedo revamped the “My Account” section last month and things didn’t go as they should.

Sedo has messed up the new “My Account” section by losing key account information and settings.

Last week I sold a domain through the SedoMLS-Network (similar to the Afternic fast transfer network) and realized that Sedo had charged me with VAT tax on their 20% fee.

My Sedo account is a company one and as I had provided a VALID VAT number I shouldn’t have been charged with a VAT tax within the European Union. (Sedo is in Germany and I own a company in Greece.)

Instead, I realized that I was being charged with a 720€ VAT charge that should have been zero.

That was after my domain had already transferred but before Sedo had sent payment to me. I send an email and contacted support on Wednesday but I got no reply and the wire transfer was sent on Thursday or Friday.

What I realized was that the VAT number that was stored in my account for 13+ years was now GONE!!!

My VAT number was there at least until late January 2023.

I then found an email from Sedo last month about the revamping the “My Account” section. And yes there are more settings missing!

I couldn’t find the “minimum payout for domain parking” and the “pay up to USD/EUR by Paypal, otherwise by wire” options!

Meanwhile, I am still waiting for a reply from Sedo support for the money they owe me. No reply after 7 days!

I guess they think that responding to forums is more important than responding to customer support tickets.
