Investing in domain names is similar to investing in other asset classes like physical real estate or company stocks. To become profitable, investors and brokers must understand all of the characteristics that define a domain name, use the characteristics to find relevant, recent and retail-priced comparable sales, and know how to value domain names in the wholesale and retail markets. They must also make educated assumptions about aspects like desirability, traffic and appreciation. Increasing your valuation accuracy can help you make better decisions in both buying and selling domain names. This presentation will provide both a framework and toolset for doing just that.
