Namecheap becomes the 2nd largest domain name registrar

Richard Kirkendall, Namecheap CEO, announced on twitter that Namecheap is now the 2nd largest domain name registrar in the world behind Godaddy.

Namecheap is now the second largest registrar in the world based on ICANN accreditation https://t.co/3lruStvTm6 . We’ve got one more mountain ahead of us to climb but we are on our way.

According to RegistrarOwl Namecheap just surpassed Tucows to become the 2nd largest registrar. As of today it has 10,116,123 domains.
