Trending domain name keywords: hemp, divorce, pawn, taxi, caviar

The top 10 trending keywords registered in .COM and .NET domain names during the month of December 2018 were published by Verisign, the .com and .net registry.

You can find the list from last month here.

My experience shows that 700 or 800 (or even less) domain registrations are enough to bring a keyword into the top 10.

There was one common keyword in the 2 lists: hemp.

Top 10 Keyword Registration Trends for .COM and .NET in December 2018:

.COM

.NET

hemp hemp
divorce testing
pawn taxi
dentists strong
smiles friends
pilot near
securities send
classifieds step
caviar europe
stable california
*Note: Each list was developed by examining keyword registration growth relative to the preceding month, such that those keywords with the highest percentage of registration growth are being reported on. This method is used to eliminate commonly registered keywords, such as “online” and “shop,” to provide a true look at monthly trends. In order to be included, a keyword must experience a minimum threshold in registration growth month over month. Qualifying keywords with the highest volume of registrations are then ranked and included in the list.

  1. Surprised “CBD” wasn’t on the list too.

  2. Hey Konstantinos,

I was wondering where can i see the full detailed list of all domains registered last month, so i can do a deeper dive into these registered domains and there keywords? I think it would make for an interesting and insightful piece of data to see if a company or individual was registering a certain percentage of the keywords. So in a nut shell where can i view a list of these registered keyword domains last month so i can do my own due diligence on these keywords.
Thanks in advance for your help, keep the good content coming.
