Online Domain

OnlineDomain.com, a domain blog 5 years later…

It has been 5 years since I started this blog in a hot summer in 2012. It has been a fun ride with ups and downs.

Here are my all time stats:

  • 481,966 visitors
  • 3,653 posts

I was not totally dedicated in the first year and a half and I was still learning how to be a domain name blogger. In the past three years and a half OnlineDomain.com had about 300k of views and more than 4,500 comments on average per year.

It is not like I never thought to stop blogging in the past 5 years but I won’t because too many people would be happy if I did. I have received my share of threats over the years.

You may have noticed that the blog moved recently to a new https:// address after installing an SSL certificate. I also made some speed improvements. I still need to improve speed by 25% or more.

In the past few months I had some hacker problems. Everything has been resolved now and I have a double password protection and an alert installed informing me of any attacks.

Finally I would like to thank my newest sponsor Efty and my older sponsors Escrow.comDomainAgents.comBoston Ivy and Lysted.com.

There is some space available for new sponsors. Please contact me if interested.

  5. Congratulations, Konstantinos! You provide a unique and valuable viewpoint in the industry.

  6. Congratulations on the 5 years, Konstantinos! It takes tremendous dedication and hard work to blog regularly (not to mention some thick skin at times…) You’ve done a great job at it all, and your voice is appreciated. Best wishes for another successful 5 years!

  7. I’ve come to like and appreciate this blog quite a bit and am glad it’s here. I also don’t have any problem at all with you having Escrow.com as one of your paid advertisers either, even though I hate them now. 🙂 Good for you even. In fact I had the same kind of argument on this very blog a while ago when I was defending Michael Cyger here regarding such things. Escrow.com may suck now, but OnlineDomain.com is AOK in my book. 🙂

    • Thanks John.
Escrow.com has had its troubles. I have talked to them a few times. I have serious problems but I got them resolved. I wrote about that too.

I’m proud to take credit as the one who “discovered you”, even tho you disagree : )~

I’ve beat you in every debate you venture with me, but what’s interesting is that when I’m not participating, you make the right calls.

So, here’s to another year (I’m not willing to give 5 in advance just in case you become like the other bloggers in the interim).

  18. Well done, thanks for all of your work!

  19. Congrats Konstantinos!
It has to be so very hard to maintain a blog daily, come up with so many new stories when it seems there is nothing to write about, figure out what to say w/all of the new gTLDs coming out, people will either love or hate what you say when their own investments may be affected one way or another. Voice your true opinion when you feel someone we respect has done something that would tarnish the brilliance of our own Domaining Community. etc. etc. etc.
Your hard work and true voice is greatly appreciated.
Just keep up the great work brother!

  20. Congratulations and thank you for all the posts.
