Trending domain name keywords: president, fun, degree, Chinese, bots

The top 10 trending keywords registered in .COM and .NET domain names during the month of March 2017 were published by Verisign, the .com and .net registry.

There are no common keyword in the .com and .net lists. That always strikes me as a bit strange but…

My experience shows that only 2 or 3 thousand domain registrations are enough to bring a keyword into the top 10.

You can find the list from last month here.

You can see the top trending keyword of the year 2016 here.

Top 10 Keyword Registration Trends for .COM and .NET in March 2017:

.COM

.NET

president fun
degree max
chinese value
bots ultra
gambia jury
jumbo funds
tshirt metal
healthcare tool
raiders johns
mortgages bliss

These are not the top 10 keywords overall but rather the keywords that saw the highest increase in terms of domain name registrations in the past month. Each list was developed by examining keyword registration growth relative to the preceding month, such that those keywords with the highest percentage of registration growth are being reported on. This method is used to eliminate commonly registered keywords, such as “online” and “shop,” to provide a true look at monthly trends.
