dotStrategy Co., the operator of the .buzz Top Level Domain (TLD) released the guidelines and rules for the upcoming .buzz auction scheduled for Dec 8th, 2016.
Highlights of the auction proceedings include:
· All bids to be received by Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:59 AM Pacific Standard Time (19:59:59 UTC) via email or fax.
· NO advance deposit is required to participate in the .buzz auction.
· The winning bidder must submit a deposit of ten percent of the winning bid amount by Thursday, December 22, 2016.
· Full winning bid must be received by Friday, January 20, 2017.
· If the deposit and/or winning bid amounts are not received by their respective deadlines, the bidder will be deemed in default and the next highest bidder will be deemed the winner.
· Winner will not be responsible for any undisclosed liabilities of dotStrategy, Co.
The December 8th auction, previously announced by dotStrategy, is a closed-sealed auction with a minimum reserve bid of $3,500,000 USD.
The winning bidder will acquire the following:
· The auction is for all of the issued and outstanding shares in dotStrategy Co
· Exclusive Registry Agreement with ICANN to operate the .BUZZ gTLDThe .buzz registry and all associated rights to operate the Top Level Domain
· Instant revenue generating income from existing .buzz domain name registrations
· Reserved domain name portfolio of premium .buzz domains, including all 1 and 2 character .buzz domains and a plethora of other premium keywords
· 60+ active contracted registrar partners including GoDaddy and the largest registrar partners worldwide, selling .buzz domains to registrants in over 100 countries
· dotbuzz trademark registered with European Union Intellectual Property Office
· Immediate active user base of well-defined and growing communities displaying a genuine affinity for the word “buzz”.

I’m still not sure what the interest is in .Buzz. I understand that it’s a play on “Popular News” or “Trending Gossip”, but how practical will it be? It feels more like a news or personal blog extension that will primarily compete with .Blog.

Some company will waste their investors money on this money pit. Only will take them 30-40 years to make back their investment
