Some of the early adopters of the .Vegas domain are beginning to come online now that .Vegas is out of the sunrise trademark phase of the roll out. One of the newest sites to launch is www.gay.vegas. Currently operating as a business directory for businesses working in or with association with the LGBTQ+ community, gay.vegas promises to be a one stop shop for all things gay in Las Vegas.
Gay.Vegas is 1 of the 100 domains that registries are allowed to give out as part of the ICANN founders New gTLD program.
The site right now is the bones of the operation but in addition to the business directory it also has an informational video that talks about the domain space in general, .Vegas in particular and what .Vegas means for the City of Las Vegas moving forward. You can view the video about half way down their homepage.
They are also helping people get their own .vegas domains as part of their alliance with the .Vegas registry. .Vegas is currently in the landrush phase that ends on September 10th.
