Here are the domain name registration results of this week’s 4 New gTLD launches:
Yesterday, 13th of August, 4 Donuts New gTLDs went out of the EAP pricing and into the real (reg fee) general availability: .Care, .Clinic, .Dental, .Surgery.
The first day, or rather first hours, registration numbers were average from what we are seeing in the past couple of month for 3 of the 4 Donuts New gTLDS. The best one, .dental had 1971 domain registrations, .care had 1395 domains and .clinic had 1447 domain names. The worst one was .surgery with only 536 registrations. That was probably because is the limited number of surgery types that exist and the fact that most domains were sold at a high premium registration and renewal.
These numbers include the Sunrise (trademark) domain registrations which are not that high anyway and EAP registrations.
(I am always comparing the same first hours for all New gTLDs. The hours between General Availability and the first zone files update.)
