.yokohama Landrush Priority Registration Period Opens Today

GMO Registry announced the opening of the .yokohama Landrush Priority Registration period.

Today marks the first time that .yokohama will be available to the general public for registration. .yokohama is a domain representing the City of Yokohama, Japan’s second largest city after Tokyo. Yokohama’s population is 3.7 million.

Application is open between August 6 and September 5, 2014. Everyone, everywhere is eligible, no local address is required.

GMO Registry has already released the .nagoya and .tokyo New gTLDs.
