  1. “As you know, the .uk equivalents of the .co.uk names will be automatically reserved for current owners”
This is not strictly accurate, there is a lot more to it than that, unless they clarify the .uk rights correctly and check that the .co.uk automatically qualifies for the .uk then I can see this causing problems, I honestly can not see Sedo bothering to check each submission of .co.uk actually qualifies for the .uk but I may be wrong.
Also, why on earth would anyone want to sell their .co.uk that qualifies for .uk now when you can have both the .co.uk and the .uk to sell later in the year if you want to?.

    • “As you know, the .uk equivalents of the .co.uk names will be automatically reserved for current owners”:
      It is accurate.

As to why sell now that is strictly up to the seller. Sedo just wants the commission.

      • it isn’t quite accurate, some .org.uk qualify, also if a .co.uk wasn’t registered at the cut off point ie, recent hand registrations, they don’t qualify either as far as i’m aware.
this is what I mean that it will cause confusion.

      • No .org.uk qualify unless there is no .co.uk registered.
The cut-off date is midnight on 28th October 2013.
