I did a post yesterday about .domains EAP sales with 10 domain names selling for $3,000+ each and 45 selling for $1,200+ each.
There were also 4 domains that sold for more than $1000 that were not included in that list. And that is because these domains are going to be sold for $1000+ every year from now on!
These 4 domains are the Ultra Premium domains with a registration and renewal fee of about $1,000 to $1,500 that were sold in the past few days:
find.domains $1640 at Enom.com ($1040 + ~$600 EAP)
asia.domains $1510 at Instra.com ($1360 + ~150 EAP)
expired.domains $1150 at Name.com ($1000 + ~$150 EAP)
top.domains $999 at UnitedDomains.com
I would expect that only end-users like registrars register these domains so let’s have a look at who registered these domains.
find.domains: The domain was registered by California company Comexton Corp that claims to have “e-comerce sytems have ben used by 60,000+ customers and
handle 1-2 millon in transactions every year.” yet they don’t have a website at Comexton.com and use this spelling.
asia.domains: This domain was probably registered by the registrar Instra.com that is located in Australia so the domain would make sense to them.
expired.domains: The domain was registered by German vbinternet.de that runs ExpiredDomains.de.
top.domains: This was registered by Swiss company Angels Magnifier AG that I don’t know what they do.
So here are the annual renewal prices:
$1040 Enom.com
$1360 Instra.com
$1000 Name.com
$999 UnitedDomains.com
Go Daddy has a registration/renewal price on these at $1,499.99. I saw one registrar asking $1600/year for each one. But I also found prices at $875 and $920 per year.
I was able to find 6 more of these Ultra Premium domain names that are still available for registration:
pro.domains
biz.domains
travel.domains
cat.domains
mobi.domains
tel.domains
keyword.domains
budget.domains
The first 6 are all pre-NewgTLDs strings and asia.domains that was registered is one of these too. Com.domains, org.domains and info.domains are reserved for now. I just wonder that the price of the domain name com.domains will be if it ever becomes available.
Others like museum.domains and jobs.domains are a lot cheaper at about $99 per year.
I have not seen any others with this price. I thought that the highest premium fee was at about $400 but I guess I was wrong.
If you have seen or registered any other of these Ultra Premium domains please make a comment below.
Does cat.domains stand for category?
It stands for catalan.
Thanks, travel.domains is a $1000 premium domain as well, unregistered, and most likely unwanted at that price for a developer
Ultra Premium 🙂 thats the peak of all .. like it
wow, that is expensive!
