Above.com adds new functionality to DomainState.com forum

Above.com, owner of popular domain name forum DomainState.com, announced a few updates on the forum including 3 new domain tools, Domain Directory Listings, Themed Domain Auctions, etc.

The new domain tools that were added are:

• Typo Lookup (new and improved)
• Domain Name Generator
• Email Blacklist Checker

Hello DomainState members,

Things are looking up in the domain industry. Our industry is growing – we’re seeing more and more domain-related sites being launched, as well as two new domain escrow companies being introduced in the last few months. There have also been a lot of strong domain sales reported recently, and discussions about the new gTLDs have been heating up. With that said, here are a few updates:

New Domain Tools

We just launched three new domain tools at DomainState. There are no sign ups required, and as always, they’re free to use.

• Typo Lookup (new and improved)
• Domain Name Generator
• Email Blacklist Checker

Domain Directory Listings

As you may have noticed, we launched a new domain directory on DomainState last year. To get more people interested, we’re offering a limited-time 40% discount on all new submissions for the month of February. Regular pricing applies after the first year. To take advantage of this offer, simply submit your site as a featured listing here: Domain Directory Submission. All sites go through a manual review process to ensure quality standards. Before submitting, please make sure you are submitting to a relevant category in the directory.

Above.com Introduces Themed Domain Auctions

Selling a domain name is hard, but getting a good price for it is even harder. To get the best price for a domain, it is imperative that you get it in front of as many end-users as possible. That’s why Above has just introduced a new feature called Themed Domain Auctions. Themed Domain Auctions allow the seller to put their domains up for auction that are specifically targeted to a specific vertical. By categorizing domains by certain interest groups, end-users are able to find domain names that are better suited for them.

The next Themed Auction is the “Lead Generation” Domain Auction. The auction inventory will be targeting organizations, which stimulate and capture online interest in a product or service for developing sales pipeline. Bidding will be open to the public commencing March 17, 2014 and ending on April 16, 2014 at 12pm PT. Domain submissions accepted till March 3, 2014.
