How to Buy a Domain Name – Infographic

Who Is Hosting This.com was kind enough to share this very useful infographic that outlines the steps that a domain name buyer has to take if he/she is interested in buying a domain name that is already registered by someone else. It describes the aftermarket (Sedo, Domain Name Sales, Namejet, Go Daddy Auctions and Aftermarket), expiring domains, how escrow is used, domain name valuations, past domain name sales and various other aspects. The infographic was first featured in the “How to Buy a Domain Name That’s Already Registered” article.

  1. Nice infographic. I think one thing is missing under “Test a domain before buying it”. That’s checking if there is any live trademarks. That might have tried to explain under “brand-related queries” but wasn’t clear to me. Other than that it was good.
