Nokia Normandy, the company’s first and only Android smartphone is about to be released. It is likely that Nokia may launch its first Android smartphone during MWC in March. Normandy is a low-cost smartphone that would run with a custom implementation of Android.
The domain name NokiaNormandy.com was registered on December 12th 2013 at Go Daddy by someone from China.
Nokia has a very long history in UDRP complaints. It has filed 60 complaints since 2001 but the last one filed was in 2010. They could try and get NokiaNormandy.com through a UDRP but I don’t think they have enough time before the launch in March.
Of course Normandy is the code-name of the project so Nokia might just end up naming the smartphone differently.
