Cancer.info just sold for $16,005 and finance.info for $9,002. Afilias has been running an exclusive .info auction at Go Daddy for 106 domains that have been reserved since 2001. I don’t know if it was my post about a month ago about .info sunrise pending reallocation domains that made this auction happen but the first 58 results are in and a few great prices have materialized:

Way to go .INFO !!!
Yea, i got one of the above names, and to my surprise GoDaddy added 21% tax to it. Which is kind of rediculous (and expensive) for auctions. Luckily i was outbid on one of the names that i offered several K for, as i would certainly feel i overpaid grossly if i ended up winning, and then finding out after the fact, that i needed to pay >1000K tax.
Oops, slight typo there.. by 1000K i obviously meant over $1000.
This was fun. Got a name I had wanted for a long time in this auction!

Took a while to get the name transfer sorted out with Godaddy and Afilias, but now I have control of the name I bought from the .info auction. I am happy!
