Fortune 500 Company & European Company Both Buy New gTLD Domains For 5 Figures

newgtldDonuts is releasing thousands of domain names all summer that were previously reserved because of domain name collisions. This week Donuts is releasing all the healthcare related domain names using the Early Access Program including .surgery and .healthcare. Yesterday was EAP Day 1 and 2 domains were sold. Brain.Surgery and United.Healthcare were sold for more than $12,500 each. UnitedHealth Group bought the domain name United.Healthcare at the Corporation Service Company registrar. UnitedHealth Group Inc. is a diversified managed health care company headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota, U.S. It is No. 14 on the Fortune 500. The company also owns the longer domains unitedhealthgroup.healthcare and  unitedhealth.healthcare. BrainLab bought the domain name Brain.Surgery probably using indeca.de. Brainlab AG is a German medical technology company headquartered in Munich, Bavaria that develops medical technology for image-guided surgery, radiation oncology and medical image exchange.
