This Is How Domain Names Can & Should Be Used

I am currently watching season 4 of Suits, a USA Network drama and one of the highest-rated series of 2013.

The official website of the show is located at usanetwork.com/suits but the network doesn’t actually use it that much.

As I was watching episode 4 I caught myself looking at the lower left hand side where a couple of domain names appeared: SuitsLive.com and SuitsRecruits.com.

SuitsLive.com redirects to http://www.usanetwork.com/suits/live that has a game called “Suits Live”.

SuitsRecruits.com redirects to http://papertrail.usanetwork.com/ where you can “answer their questions to unlock exclusive photos, videos and memorable moments.”.

Social media also made an appearance on the show with Twitter hashtag #Suits but each of the domains has a unique purpose.

The domains are short, memorable and descriptive and will direct visitors to the exact webpage they want to go. A tv show can’t afford to buy the domain name suits.com but domains like SuitsLive.com and SuitsRecruits.com cost $10 each and will help viewers get to your webpage. Domains are a no-brainer in marketing today.

If you haven’t watched Suits yet I suggest you do. It is a great show. You can binge watch each season over a weekend. Each season only has 12 or 16 episodes.
