I am always interested to know what other domain investors are doing and which of their domains are getting the most inquires.
We often read about the sold domains but most of the time these names are not the ones getting the most inquiries because domain investors price their best names higher and the harder it gets for these domains to be sold. And the more inquiries a domain gets the higher the price gets. Demand drives prices higher.
Of course the most popular domains are not always the “best” domains in a portfolio, the domains that get the most traffic or the domains that get the highest offers.
Nokta is one of the biggest domain investor companies and these are its most popular domain names of 2014:

Nice to see AutoAuctions.com on that list-we just bought a 12year old domain PalmSpringsAuto.com Thanks for the post.
Lame plug John, your reg fee domain, is paltry compared to the category defining domain.
It’s obvious you have no idea what you’re talking about and this is exactly why legitimate people don’t post on some of these blogs-we also own multiple single word .com domains and this shows me the caliber of some of the people on this blog. It’s too bad actually-the author puts a lot of work into this project.
You do the same thing on Elliot’s blog, you are using the thread to spam your reg fee domain PalmSpringsAuto.com which has very little value, against AutoAuctions.com which has solid value.
It is not the domain, it is the manner in which you think spamming threads is ok, nobody cares about your crappy domain, and it is crappy, now it is indexed as a crappy domain.
Have a nice evening.
I just read your statement as to “now it is indexed as a crappy domain” -if I were you my friend before making a public statement like that I’d ask my attorney what
Tortious Interference is-.Don’t ever reply to me again.
Blog comments that always happen to mention a poster’s domain name are SO LAME!
one is category defying name, other is local Auto name… what is the argument about?
We know that CarAuctions just sold for 90k. Which is better name the Auto Auctions. Lets say its a 1/3 of CarAuctions. Then we have PalmSpring Auto. which a) has no relation to car or auto auctions. b) its ultra local, hence its no where in the ball park of one of those 2 names. Hence in summary Robbie is correct in assessment of Johns domain.
Do you have 2015 list? Nokta owns a lot of domains and they are very expensive but they make a lot of money from it. I did not know they own jobalert.com
