Radix reported its bi-annual premium report for the first half of 2021. This report gives a full overview of the premium domain sales across the Radix nTLD portfolio from 1st January 2020 till 30th June 2021.
While premium registrations and revenue have grown steadily for six quarters since Q2 2019, the 2020 pandemic has led to significant eCommerce demand and has urged businesses from all verticals to build a strong web presence.
.TECH was the highest-grossing TLD with $362K in retail annuity premium sales, 33% growth over H2 2020.
Some of the key highlights from the report include:
- $2.91M in retail premium revenue (comprises of $1.67M coming from renewals)
- 43% growth in premium new registrations from H2 2020
- 47% growth in premium renewals from H2 2020
I have some of their domains. Most recently dropped fandoms.online. No one bought it, so I just re-registered it.
I’ve had a lot of my good domains drop lately and some of those have been registered by some other!
I think this is a good example here, of the kind of quality domain (fandoms) is relating to .online TLD that dropped and other domains decided it wasn’t worth owning.
They are kind of expensive to renew…I like paying about $6 to renew my .party domain.
Most unfortunate, some of my best domains are by the register: UNI – created by Frank Shilling. After he rasied prices on domains while promosing not to, I find it hard to pay the over $20 each he asks for a few of mine like GREEK.GIFT. It’s really hard to pay UNI even a penny for domains.
UNI rasied prices on my domains and I lost money because they broke their ICANN application obligation. I could list a whole lot of UNI domains here, sadly. I hate that so many scammers are invovled in domains.
