Top 10 Trending Keywords in .COM & .NET Registrations in September (XYZ, sucks)

The top 10 trending keywords registered in .COM and .NET during the month of September 2015 were published by Verisign.

There are no common keywords in the 2 lists. XYZ appears in the .com list because of Google’s new parent company named Alphabet that uses the domain name abc.xyz.

These are not the top 10 keywords but rather the keywords that saw the highest increase in terms of domain name registrations. This is what Verisign says about the list:

“Note: Each list was developed by examining keyword registration growth by identified language relative to the preceding month, such that those keywords with the highest percentage of registration growth are being reported on. This method is used to eliminate commonly registered keywords such as “online” and “shop” to provide a true look at monthly trends by language.”
