Radix revealed that .online sunrise registrations include domains such as batman.online and superman.online registered by DC Comics.
Radix is ecstatic about the success of the .online sunrise and confident that it is an early indicator of the GA rush. Radix’s Business Head, Sandeep Ramchandani said “This has been a fabulous start! We are confident .online will be amongst the biggest new gTLDs that have launched. The same sentiment across several Registrar Partners has reinforced our beliefs. We expect to start off with at least 15,000 registrations at launch and would love to break .club’s launch record!”
.online also surfaced as the number 1 choice of first time domain buyers, when compared to generics like .link, .business, .company, .world, .one etc. In a survey conducted by Radix, 50% respondents picked .online – it was the leading choice of respondents from USA, Germany, Russia, the Netherlands & Australia.
.online is already available for EAP & GA pre-registrations at leading Registrars like GoDaddy, Domain.com, 1&1, 1Api, Name.com, 101Domain, United-Domains, eNom. Early Access Phase for .online starts on 19th August 2015, followed by General Availability on 26th August, 2015.
