I sold a .com domain for low 5 figures. It’s a 1 word domain in French.We had the deal yesterday afternoon, started the escrow transaction last night. Today the buyer paid by wire transfer, the wire arrived at escrow.com and I provided the auth code for the transfer. Buyer started the transfer and I released the domain immediately from Fabulous. The domain is in the buyer’s account in less than 24 hours since I started the transaction. That is a smooth sale. And it was not a visa/push sale, it was a wire/transfer one. I think the fact that the buyer has bought domains before (from at least 2 other parties) and had an account with escrow.com and knew what to do, helped a lot.

Finally the .London priority domain auctions have arrived! They are starting in 2 weeks. Only problem is that auctions may keep going into eternity: “If the leader changes at any time during the last 24 hours, the auction close will be extended for an additional 24 hours from the time the leadership changed.”

Seriously, .London, Minds + Machines and Pool? An additional 24 hour extension? I thought that “10 minutes” was bad.

Unless I can find all 15 anonymous bidders and agree to end the auction in 2014 I won’t be bidding. So my refund with come in a few months.
