This week 9 New gTLDs enter General Availability, another 4 New gTLDs enter the EAP General Availability and 1 New gTLD enters a landrush phase.
Uniregistry is launching 3 strings on the 3rd of September: .hiphop, .audio and .juegos (games in Spanish). Almost all good domains are going to be reserved so I don’t see a lot of potential here. .Audio is the best extension in my opinion and a few good domains may be available.
Donuts enters EAP General Availability for the following 4 New gTLDs on Wednesday, September 3rd 2014: .Digital, .Finance, .Insure, Accountants.
.Digital seems to be on the wrong side of the dot but a lot of companies have company names that end with digital. .Finance and .Insure are priced at about $70 at Go Daddy and .Accountants at $130. .Digital is sold at $40. .Finance is not bad and .insure does not makes sense to me. Both .insure and .accountants will have fierce competition.
.Cologne and .Koeln will enter general availability on Friday the 5th of September. German city New gTLDs do reasonably good with .berlin leading the way.
4 Donuts New gTLDs will be out of the EAP pricing and into the real (reg fee) general availability on Wednesday: .Gratis (free in Spanish), .Claims, .Credit and .CreditCard.
Only 1 New gTLD enters landrush phase this week:
.Rebublican from Rightside on the 3rd of September
You can register any Donuts domain name using the Donuts EAP that is available in registrars that sell Donuts gTLDs. EAP prices start at about $12,500 and are lowered within the course of the week until they reach the regular registration cost after the 7 day period.
Go Daddy’s early access prices are $12,539.99 for day one, $3,164.99 for day two, $1,239.99 for day three, $689.99 for day four and $189.99 for days five to seven. After day seven the regular registration cost applies.
The Donuts Early Access Program (EAP) is designed for registrants who want to secure relevant, memorable domain names the instant they’re available. The EAP takes the place of a traditional landrush for all Donuts gTLDs.
Interested individuals, organizations, businesses and others can register names on a first-come, first-served, non-restricted basis. In addition, this program allows brand owners the opportunity to obtain non-trademark domain names to help promote and protect brands, register authoritative terms for their industries, or simply get an interesting and usable Internet identity.
Early access registrations are available for the first seven days of a gTLD’s general availability. EAP commences today at 16:00 UTC (11:00 a.m. US Eastern Standard Time) and ends in a week from now, also at 16:00 UTC. Each week a series of Donuts gTLD launches, EAP will begin at 16:00 UTC on Wednesday and close at 16:00 UTC the following Wednesday.
More are on the way. In fact, Donuts will open several gTLDs each week for most of 2014.
As a reminder, each gTLD’s general availability is preceded by a 60 day process known as Sunrise, when trademark holders are able to secure their trademarked terms. Once this phase is completed, the gTLD is open for anyone to register names. Registrations are available only through accredited domain name registrars — you can find a complete and regularly updated list of registrars that sell Donuts gTLDs here.

“Both .insure and .accountants will have fierce competition.”
What do you mean by this?
Sorry I didn’t make it clear. By .insurance and .accountant.
Thanks! 🙂
as an audio freak I only looked for the lossless.audio and i got it 🙂
Nice one.
Damn that was you! You beat me to it! 🙂
You registered it at NameWeb? Their homepage looks pretty minimalist http://nameweb.biz/
Congrats on your sale! Was it outbound or did you get an inquiry from the buyer?
Thanks a lot Mark !
I put it on sedo and https://lossless.digital/ bought it
they told me, that they missed the audio golive
I am happy about the money, this gives me some space (buffer)
how do know about it ?
I saw it listed here http://www.thedomains.com/2014/09/30/sedo-transactions-total-1-million-3/
Sometimes a few seconds can be worth $5,000 😉
You had it parked at Sedo too?
I saw it listed on thedomains’ last blog post about sedo transactions
Sometimes a few seconds can be worth $5,000 😉
You had it parked at sedo too?
I am parking domains by myself.
For example: http://private.gallery/
If u like and need it as well, I am doing this for free.
(Its not really free, from time to time somebody is clicking the adsense and I am eraning a dollar)
I dont like the sedo parking because it shows only somewhere small in the corner that the domain is for sell.
I think that this can get your ad sense account banned in a second.
I am testing DNS with no ads on my New gTLDs: E.estate
“Sometimes a few seconds can be worth $5,000 ”
yes, I worked on that second.
as I understood a registrar is only able to send request after request (one per shoot)
thats the reason why i like smal registrars with just a few request.
here a real example:
first shoot tooks 0.037 seconds:
Creation Date: 2014-04-15T16:00:00.037Z
second shoot tooks 0.287 seconds:
Creation Date: 2014-04-15T16:00:00.287Z
we are dealing with mili seconds
@ Konstantinos
“I think that this can get your ad sense account banned in a second.”
do you think because of less text on the page ?
I dont think I am against google rules with that.
all shows fine on google adsense.
I am not forcing people to click and it is the only adsense on the page and it is not to close to the buy button.
But please tell me why u think. I am allways open for important tips like this.
btw e.estate looks nice
but I like “buy now” option. pay or leave 🙂
Unfortunately you are against ad sense rules. They can ban you any time.
You can’t put ad sense ads on empty pages like this.
Try googling ad sense and empty page etc.
I don’t have a “buy now” price so I don’t mind.
2 weeks ago someone wrote me and asked for 10 domains
I made a fair price but it was to much for him
he asked again for 4 domains
I made a fair price but it was to much for him
he asked again for 1 domain: kinder.koeln (children)
500 euro was my answer
it was to much for him
i was curious and asked him what he think about the price
he answered me that he checked the price with an online tool and its about 12 euro
after this I decided only work with “buy now” on sedo 🙂
@ROYAL.domains Nice parking page, makes me want to do something similar. I’m not good at designing stuff but I’ll give it a try
of course, do it , thats the funny part .. if u need any help, tell me
I sold it by “buy now”
hi Mark (sorry for it)
nameweb beat me with the snatch.domains a half year ago .. so I changed to them 🙂
since then they filled up my requests nearly 100%
nameweb ist very good, best support ive ever had. personal contact, fast and professional.
this is the page I am using:
http://www.bnamed.net/en/
No worries that’s the rules of the game 😉
Thanks for the link. They seem quite small, never heard of them before. Very pricey too, 29.65€ for an .audio as opposed to 7.65 at namecheap!
if u are a reseller, tell them ..
but 7.65 .. ok, this is truly a good price !!
