New gTLD 1st Day Registrations: .Reisen 2,262, .University 1,340, .Toys 1,320 and .Town 589

Here are the domain name registration results of this week’s 4 New gTLD launches:

Yesterday 30th of July 4 Donuts New gTLDs went out of the EAP pricing and into the real (reg fee) general availability: .Reisen (Travel in German), .University, .Toys and .Town.

The first day, or rather first hours, registration numbers were surprisingly good for .Reisen but not so good for the other 3 New gTLDs. The best one, .Reisen, has a total of 2,262 domain registrations today. .University has 1,340 domains today and .Toys has 1,320 registrations. The worst one was .Town that has only 589 registrations today.

These numbers include the Sunrise (trademark) domain registrations which are not that high anyway. .Town had only 22 sunrise registrations while .Toys was leading with 87.
