Sedo, the world’s largest domain marketplace and monetization provider, and Web.com Group, Inc. a leading provider of Internet services and online marketing solutions for small businesses, today announced a partnership that will give customers access to more than 18 million premium domain names, including those under new Internet domain extensions being launched this year. By joining Sedo’s multi-listing Service, SedoMLS , customers of Network Solutions, Register.com and any of their resellers will be able to quickly and easily find the right domain for their business, even if that name is already registered.
“When the internet was young, it was easy for customers to find the perfect domain name for their business. As more and more domains have been registered over time, finding the perfect domain name has become increasing difficult,” said David L. Brown, chairman, chief executive officer and president, Web.com. “By working with Sedo, Web.com can provide its customers with improved access to millions of premium domain names, enabling them to find the perfect domain name in a single search.”
As a full SedoMLS partner, Web.com enjoys benefits such as access to Sedo’s entire database of listings, including domains being offered as Buy Now or Make Offer sales. In addition, as new generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) are introduced this year to join traditional extensions like .com, .net and .org, many premium domains under the new extensions will be available to Web.com customers through Sedo’s exclusive partnerships with gTLD registries. This gives Web.com customers access to additional premium names from hundreds of their favorite new extensions that are only available through Sedo, and enables them to make purchases directly from Web.com properties. Additionally, Web.com customers can list and sell their premium domains directly on the SedoMLS network.
“Choice is critical for individuals or businesses looking to purchase a premium domain and that is exactly what SedoMLS offers. It provides Web.com customers with access to the largest selection of existing premium domains and more than 200 new gTLD extensions that are exclusively available through Sedo,” said Tobias Flaitz, Sedo’s CEO. “We are very excited about expanding the SedoMLS network to all Web.com properties because of the immense impact it can have on helping people find the right domains the first time they look.”

I think having Network Solutions, bring a lot of end user money, that is a good catch.
Have to say, network solutions is one of the worst registrars there is, i ONCE used a cheap coupon for one .com, and really got tired from their reselling mails they relly know howto pump the money out fom novice customers. Havent tryed their parking system…
Yes, Network Solutions and register.com are 2 or the worst registrars.
Sedo is trying to corner the market, but they have a lot to learn from emerging markets such as Flippa who employs equal opportunity strategies.
If they, Sedo, keep the abracadabra marketplace, the voodoo selling method, it wont be long before a true competitor shows up to eat their lunch. It almost happened to Sedo in the parking business, where they lost a lot of names to DNS. They could care less because it really didn’t affect their bottom line.
Sedo has a lot to learn from Flippa. Open up the market!
GoDaddy is jumping out from SedoMLS by 3-31-2014
And their are ending the syndication as well. No Sedo domains will be listed in Go Daddy.
Afternic and DNS domains will continue to be listed.
