Arab Center for Domain Name Dispute Resolution (ACDR) was moved from the consent agenda to the main agenda at the Special Meeting of the ICANN Board

ICANN just published the Approved Board Resolutions for the Special Meeting of the ICANN Board that was held on the 28th of February. “Arab Center for Dispute Resolution’s Proposal to Serve as UDRP Provider” was on the consent Agenda of the “ICANN Special Board Meeting”.

Somehow the Arab Center for Domain Name Dispute Resolution (ACDR) matter was moved from the consent agenda to the main agenda and the ACDR was not accepted to become the 5th UDRP provider under ICANN just yet:

Main Agenda:
Arab Center for Dispute Resolution’s Proposal to Serve as UDRP Provider
Discussion was carried forward to another meeting, and no resolution was taken.

Now ICANN is seeking for comments on the revised proposal of the Arab Center for Dispute Resolution (ACDR) to serve as a UDRP dispute resolution service provider. You can submit your comments here.

Before the “ICANN Special Board Meeting” was held, ICA asked ICANN Board to defer action on new UDRP provider.

I am preparing my comment on the new UDRP provider and I must say that 3 years after the first proposal the revised proposal is pretty much the same.
