Subject: Sex.com Internet Domain

gtldsDear sir,
I am writing to you because maybe you can help me.
I intent to buy your domain.
I am interested in buying it for a lowish price.
I see that you have this domain name that you are not using for years now.
I’m just looking for a blog name for a sail boat.
I wonder if we could have the domain name sex.com so I can use it.
I will not be using it to make money. This is going to be a personal webpage for me and my friends.
I are not rich but I would be happy to compensate you with your cost: $500.
If you want we can provide you with a link back to your website.
If you think $500 is too much then please send me a free quote.
I need this domain name sex.com.
I see that you have it for sale for 20 years now and you haven’t sold it yet so there must not be a lot of interest about it. So I will actually now offer you $300.
When does it expire?
We have other similar options but this IP address would actually work better for what I want to do.
I can assure you that I would be the only user for this domain name.
I can pay by credit card. How will the transfer work?
I would like to buy sex.com for 3 months of payments of 100 US dollars of month.
You pay transfer fees.
If we agree I want you to tell me that this address is going to me mine forever and ever.
I wonder if you own porn.com as well and want to get rid of that as well.
Let me know what you think.
Kisses,
Nows Knothing

  1. 😀

  2. LOL, wtf, not only did he have to nerve to go from $500 down to $300, but he also wanted to pay in 3 installments. Crazy and ridiculous!

  3. To much time is spent these days educating naive people that have no intention of being fair. I price them into my offers, and so should all of you.

    • Can you clarify? what does price them into my offers means?

      • We don’t put a price on our time as domainers, sometimes it can take weeks to educate a buyer who wants to transfer a domain, they wait for them to pay into escrow, I had a guy last month, mail a check into escrow, takes forever to clear, then they go on vacation, then they accept the transfer, and don’t accept it in escrow, taking even more time to get straightened out so you can finally get paid.

Or there are the idiots who offer $10 for a domain name, thinking someone is going to go thru all the hoops, and give up a name at reg fee, these are on the rise ten fold, best to customize automated templates to be quick these time wasters.

        Big portfolio owners will understand.

      • You are right. When I am talking about a domain name transaction cost, I take into account my time spend on educating the buyer with auth codes, registrars, locks, transfers, renewals, escrow, etc…

  4. Kosta, I didn’t know you owned those two domains and wanted to “get rid” of them … LOL! 😀
    Weird people indeed …
