.Club general availability started today. .Club was and still is one of my favorite new gtlds but I was not able to register any so far. It seems that all the good one word .club domain names are reserved. I found yesterday that 6654 premium .club domain names are being sold at Sedo by the registry. Domains like country.club and golf.club are sold for 5 or 6 figures at Sedo. It kind of reminds me the launch of .sexy and .tattoo with the difference being that .club is backed up by Go Daddy and that it has spend a lot of money in marketing.
Did you get any .club domains in landrush or today in general availability?
Starting today, anyone can visit one of over 70 registrars around the globe, including, GoDaddy, Network Solutions, Register.com, Name.com, 1and1, United Domains and many more to register their very own .CLUB Web address. .CLUB domain names are sold at approximately $15 per year depending on the registrar.

I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member ~ Groucho Marx.
I just got one…
It wasn’t easy!
With all the marketing support, and big registration companies that supported them, especially Godaddy, I think anything less than 50K today would be a let down.
I got 4 different emails from companies informing me today was the .club launch day, and to go get my .club.
.club has already listed the names it feels end user worthy for sale on sedo, so really I do not want to waste my time, nor money picking thru a garage sale, I saw some others grab some silly names which were reaching to make sense, but the better term was already reserved by the registry. The .club has launched, and we will see how many registrations are going thru 1 week from now. There were many early registrations placed months ago on .club, many got X’ed out yesterday, as the names people wanted, the registry did not want to give up.
Anyways, .club has now come, and in a few days will be gone, what’s next .works?
Robbie I don’t think it will get 50k today. Not with all the reserved domain names.
There are going to be a lot of people going after that few reserved domains.
I think that today would have been a good day to have an auction with 100 premium .club domains.
That would have been great marketing with good domains on auction going to end users.
Frustrated people will just move on…
People are buying what seems to me like hacks and I don’t like hacks: bostonstrip.club
I agree as attractive as the imagination can make names like bostonstrip.club look, in the context of real businesses using them, it is not very likely. The true power of the gtld’s is domains such as Boston.Club etc.. but these are not to be seen unless, they are on sedo…
The auction idea is a great one, and would have provided a great backdrop to to the launch, especially a $1 starting with no reserve, so buyers could get their teeth into them, and the ones who lost would probably go get a domain for the heck of it. I didn’t see much talk about .club other than the PR that the blogs, and registration companies were churning out. Like I said before I have seen many KeywordClub.com sitting from 1998-2001 registrations in domain investor portfolios unsold.
This .com domainer trend you are seeing applies to all new gtlds.
I have even seen many nice .com domains that were registered in the past 3 years by HugeDomains.com that I would love to have instead of the new gtld. But there are some huge 2 word domains that are great. e.g. I just love my sports.marketing.
I wanted to register some but gave up the idea at the end.
Were those you wanted available?
The 6,000+ are all the good ones. The only ones left are those for suckers or actual end users with a club.
studentsavings.club
discountsavings.club
koreannight.club
regal.club
cabela.club
goldcard.club
secretsociety.club

Like some other’s have said, I’m the proud owner of none of the new extensions.
But i like to search and see what junk has been left.
regalclub.com is owned by Frank.
And he’s a member of the…goodoldboys.club

I like therealestate.club, and lizard.club, exotica.club, I don’t know if and when you find your end user if you are going to get the price you think you deserve for these domains. The plurals I see having no value.
londonsclub.com is free to register.
lizardclub.com owned by Frank again.
Those just aren’t that good at all. 4 of them are available to hand reg in .com right now.
no offense but these seem like second rate domains for the most part.
i got what i was looking for .. all low level, and i will try to sell them cheap .. I am thinking like WQ: The 6,000+ are all the good ones AND MORE. The only ones left are those for suckers or actual end users with a club.

Are you insane to try, and sell nascar club, they will sue you into the stone age, how can you be so careless. This is utter, and sheer disrespect for all the work domainers have done to stay away from this kind of nonsense.
stupid .. i thought nascar is a sport like stockcar and not a brand -.- args
think before you buy but never thought it bounce back for your mistake
Ask for a refund and delete it.
Robbie what you said is right royals.domains think himself very smart but end up foolish. He pretend himself right and wont realize he dig for his grave.
I got 2 .club domains as follows
– RealEstates.club (premium domain name worth 137,499.99 USD on 101domains.com)
– NewDomain.club (Planning to develop website for new domain name registration website)
From the few i got i believe this one is a nice catch: Valentine.Club
You have bought some nice New gTLD domain names!
I have seen a lot of yours that I would love to have.
Pax good to hear about you from zournas that you got nice domains do mind to share couple of best domains you have registered and I agree with your good suggestion to grab the domains in EAP/Landrush.
“Valentine.club sounds really great”
Thank you ! I regularly read your great articles about what is going on in the domain industry, keep up the good work ! For now i’ve invested what i could in the new gTLDs. But if i may give a tip to everyone who wants to invest; use the EAP/Landrush, don’t wait till GA. At least not for the names you really want.
Also i noticed, compared to the first launch months, there are more domains being classified as premium. I expect this to increase with time the more publicity happens. For what it’s worth, hope that helps someone.
Yep, Donuts is learning…
The first couple of months were the best. Since then…
It was a tough fight but I’ve managed to book: snookers.club, tvstars.club, locations.club, servers.club, cents.club. Can anyone guide me where can I sell these domains?
Very funny, indeed, Nik
I assume you’re not talking about the domains 🙂
I got 2 more – married.club and thehollywood.club
These have been gobbled up fast. I have tried to get some dog breed clubs and fish clubs.
Is it cyber squatting to buy OceanPark.club if there is an Ocean Park Club?
Do they have a trademark?
